Love is in the Air!

Welcome to week #99 in the Shabby Tea Room! We have a very fun Valentine challenge for you this week brought to you by our Shabby Girl Char. Char asks that we use the photo colors to make a Valentine and include one mail or postage item. Here is the fabulous inspiration photo:

So sweet!

For this card I used two JustRite stamps sets: Your Special Day Medallion Labels and Always & Forever Medallion Labels. JustRite has many stamps sets that coordinate with their new custom dies. It makes the creative process easier and more fun! The patterned paper is Crate Paper. The postage mark is from Papertrey Ink's Love & Marriage set.

Our sponsor this week is JustRite Stampers.

This week's lucky winner will earn:
Two new medallion dies and the "Just Keep Calm" clear set from the new releases!

Be sure to check out what the other shabby girl's have created for you this week. Lots of Valentine's Day inspiration!

Teacher Appreciation Cards

I know Teacher's Day isn't until May, but I saw this idea in Paper Crafts special issue 350 Cards & Gifts and had to try it. The teacher card set (page 10) was made by Jennifer McGuire.

This set is for the music teacher so I paper pieced the Papertrey Ink apple image with some tiny sheet music paper by Jenni Bowlin. I colored the background with a copic marker. I strategically stamped the leaf in between 'lines' so I could color it.

After cutting out the {32} apples I used the Xyron to make them into stickers.

I used a lot of different small patterned papers for the other cards. This one is my favorite.
I found the free digi image of the notebook paper on Splitcoast. I printed on 4 x 6 paper and made the image 3 1/2" x 5 ". I used a 1/8" hole punch to make the holes on the left edge.
For once I am way ahead of schedule on a project! These were so fun to make. Thanks for stopping to see my little apple cards:)

BE mine

This little tote is for the May Arts Sentimental Journey challenge.

All four ribbons are May Arts and they are beauties. The stamped images are from Background Basics: Hearts from Papertrey Ink. The tote is a template from Creations by AR called Carry All.
I made the pink flowers by running a basting stitch along one edge of the ribbon, gathering and wrapping to form the flower. I was happy to see that these turned into pretty ribbon carnations!

Thanks so much for visiting:)

Week #98 in The Shabby Tea Room

Welcome to another great challenge. This week our top Shabby Girl Debbie is our host and she asks that we  create a card or project using white, cream, silver, neutrals and a splash of pink.

Here is the pretty inspiration photo:
"Sparkly and Bright"

And here is my card using the digi image "Antique Bowl and Pitcher" from Digi Doodle Shop.

Isnt' this image sweet? My mom has a bowl and pitcher just like that one. Country Charm at it's best.
I pieced the furniture, bowl and pitcher and towel. I colored the bowl and picture with copic markers and piece the towel with patterned paper. It's hard to see but I added silver metallic to the hardward on the furniture.

This week Digi Doodle Shop is a wonderful sponsor.

This week's winner will win a $10.00 gift certificate to the Digi Doodle Shop. There are some wonderful images to choose from.

Check out what the other Shabby Girls have created this week:

We were hit hard with the ice storm and had no power for 4 days. I feel so grateful to have it back. What an ordeal it has been. I'm looking forward to getting back in the craft room.

I can't wait to see what you create for this week's Shabby Tea Room challenge.

MY HEART is always with you

I think this might be one of THE funnest challenges yet in The Moxie Fab World! The inspiration photos are so fun. For "The Map to your Heart Challenge" Cath asks that we use a map (maps) in an innovative way.

This is a tiny card made with Papertrey Ink's Mat Stack 4 dies, and Hawaiian Shores CS. The smaller panel is Sassafras' Sweetly Smitten from the wee bundle 6 x 6 pad. I love these papers. The sentiment is from PTI's Love Lives Here stamps set, one of my favorites.
The fun part - the map house - is made from an image I found at The Graphics Fairy blog. It's actually a map of France. I printed it on a piece of 4 x 6 photo paper, then cut the house out with PTI's Love Lives Here house die. A little pink felt finished it off.
Stop on over at the Moxie Fab blog and check out more great projects using maps. Thanks for stopping by:)

Week #97 in The Shabby Tea Room

Hello and welcome to another Shabby Challenge in The Tea Room.

This week Fran is our host and she asks that we create a card / project using the colours Gray, Lilac, Peach & Pink. Also she asks we use some lace and a metal embellishment.

Here is the beautiful photo Fran chose for this weeks inspiration:

And here is my card using Bugaboo's Stamps Fancy Umbrella Image {umbrella 7}

I thought this sweet umbrella would make a perfect wedding shower card. I colored the image after printing it onto patterned paper. I added a couple stick pins that I added beads to, a couple different pieces of lace trim and some pearls.

This week Bugaboo Digi Stamps is our wonderful sponsor. The winner of this week's challenge will win 7 images! There are so many wonderful images to choose from.

Be sure to stop in at the Shabby Girls' blogs to see more great projects based on this pretty photo.

I hope you have a chance to join us this week!

Vintage Boudoir

Hello and welcome to Week #96 in The Shabby Tea Room! I am happy to be your host this week. Here is the pretty inspiration photo for our challenge this week.

Please create a card or project using colors in the photo + one item related to sewing. This could be stitching, buttons, pins, sewing images, sewing-related sentiments, etc.

For my card I used the darling Couch image from Tiffany Doodles. I love this image! I printed it onto a piece of Melissa Frances Fifth Avenue paper from the 6 x 6  pad. Then I colored the pillows with a Copic marker. I did some machine stitching and added a couple pretty decorative pins.

We are so lucky to have Tiffany Doodles sponsor our challenge this week. And instead of having one winner we will have four! The Grand Prize winner will get to select 10 digi images! First place will receive 6 images. Second place will receive 4 images, and 3rd place will receive 2 images. Lots of chances to win this week!

I can't wait to see what you create for this week's challenge.

Stop in at the Shabby Girls' blogs to see some gorgeous cards based on our "Vintage Boudoir" theme.

Have a wonderful week:)

Week #95 in The Shabby Tea Room

Welcome to this week's fun challenge in the Tea Room.
This week Sheri is our host and she has chosen the theme of "Time Flies" along with this super charming inspiration photo.

Sheri asks that we create a card or project featuring something with wings.

Our sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps. For my card I used the
Pretty Flowers image. I printed it twice, once on CS and once on a neutral patterened paper. I then stamped the flowers on the CS and pieced them onto the other printed image. I punched the butterflies with a MS punch after using a woodgrain impression plate on red CS.

The winner of this week's challenge will get to pick out 5 wonderful digital images from
Robyns Fetish Digital Stamps. These images are so fun and easy to work with.
I can't wait to see all of the shabby creations with 'winged' embellishments this week.

Stop on by the other Shabby Girls' blogs to see their take on this darling challenge:

This year my "after Christmas" organizing has landed me in the craft room for a change! I'm getting my supplies organized so I can enjoy my space. Have a great week:)
