Ellen's 12 Days of Christmas Entry

This is a very tiny card I did one of Lockhart's itty bitty stamps with Christmas ornaments. The cardstock is Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream and Sweet Blush. I put diamond glaze over the ornaments to give them some shine.

Card by Shayann

A card my 7-year old neice made for my mom. She picked out a couple stamps and the set of Spica Glitter pens and went to work. Isn't it amazing?

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 46. I have no business making cards when those presents need to be wrapped but this is so much fun. Patterned paper is K & Company Amy Butler. Green cardstock is PTI Spring Moss. Stampenduous Branch stamp, Crafty Secrets Birds. The birdies were colored with copics. Hello stamp is Hero Arts. Martha Stewart border punch.

This is a desk set I made for three co-workers. I got the idea for the box from Nichole Heady's box from a Valentine project she did last year. I just altered it so it would hold 4 x 4 note cards. Each box holds 6 cards and 6 envelopes. Papers are SU!, Cosmo Cricket, Webster's Pages, and Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream. Stamp set is SU! The monogram labels on the fronts of the boxes are done with JustRite Stampers Monogram letters and designer borders.

gloves are accented with a red copic glitter pen but it doesn't
show up in the photo - darn.

AMuse Tag

When I spotted this stamp I had to have it. She is colored with copics. I added some flower soft to give her coat some fuzzy dimension.

Scratch & Dent Ikea find

I needed a very small table to set my sewing machine on. I don't usually leave it out. Therefore, I don't use it as much as I would because I always have to set it up. My mom had the idea of putting it in my spare bedroom walk-in closet (which doubles as a wrapping station and storage) and leaving it out. So off to Ikea I went. I found this and thought it was so strange, wondering what it was for. It looked pretty rough and the tag said $25.00 "as is". As I headed to my car I passed the restaurant part of the store and spotted more of the same table - it was one of their restaurant tables!I masked off the silver edging around the top and sprayed it with Rustoleum Sweet Pea and scrubbed it up. I was thinking if a person had a huge deck and did a lot of entertaining how fun it would be to have several of these.

Here is my entry for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop for November. And here is my non-paper floral embellishment! It has been years since I made a card with silk ribbon embroidery. I made a fun discovery: PTI cardstock is the perfect weight to embroider on. I used to have to embroider on fabric, then attach that to the card. This paper is strong enough, yet doesn't bend when the needle goes through. The leaves are cut from the leaf ribbon and attached with glue dots. See flower close-up below:

Supplies:
Patterned paper: PTI and Memory Box
Cardstock: Vintage Cream
Ink: Versamark
Cream embossing powder
Stamp sentiment: PTI Sweet Love
Ribbon: Lavender Moon
Tried to get a close-up to show the seed
beads but they don't show up so well.

Etha's ATC card. So beautiufl. The heart and the package are shimmery but it doesn't show up very well in the photo. The 3D garland is the perfect accent to this little scene.

Christmas Thank You Card

I made this card for my friend Elaine. She gave me a bag of goodies for decorating and getting in the holiday spirit. I really think her name should have been Noel or Holly.
This is the 'tis the season to be jolly abella' stamp. The tree and one of the packages is painted with shimmerz. The purple package in her hand is done with a purple spica glitter pen. The bling doesn't really show up in the photo. I used the Copic blender pen to make her jeans a little faded on her bottom.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

This card is done using all PTInk cardstrock: Spring Moss, Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush, White, Pink Patterns {cupcake wrapper}, and the new polka dot basics. Frosting was made by punching out lots of different sizes of dots and sprinkling with glitter.

Thank You Card

My sister has Huntington's Disease. Last month was the 2nd annual Northwest Chapter of HDSA walk-a-thon. I ended being on the planning committee for the walk. People were so generous and supportive. This is the card that I'm sending out to everyone that contributed and/or walked with me. The inside of the card says "For You".
The show 'House' now has two characters that have HD so people are slowly becoming familiar with this devastating disease.

Stampers Dream challenge

The only requirement for this card was to use glitter - and I love glitter so had to play along. The embossed frame is the Inque Boutique Mini Birdi set. After I embossed with Silver Pearl I stamped it will a floral backgrounder (CHF) with versamark. Butterflies were punched with Martha's butterfly punch and covered with glitter and black rhinestones.
Kraft and Aqua Mist cardstocks, ribbon and sentiment from Papertrey Ink.

CLASSroom card Challenge

Ellen Hudson posted a card challenge and the card can only be a single layer.
The focal image is a Megenta stamp, stamped in Brilliance Platinum Planet and embossed with detail clear embossing powerd. Unfortunately the shimmer doesn't show in the photo. Sentiment if Papertrey Ink's Mixed Messages. The images was 'framed' using a square nestability.

Heart to Heart Blog Candy entry Card

Carolyn King {Cammie} has an incredible assortment of blog candy that will go to one very lucky person. Part of the contest instructions state to create a card and either sent it to someone you know that is caring for someone with Alzheimer's Disease, or to the facility that cared for her grandmother. For complete contest rules please go to this address: http://myblogbycammie.blogspot.com/2008/09/heart-to-heart-blog-candy.html
This is the card I made that will be going to the Artman Home.

TECC34 Taylor's Cupcake Challenge

This is for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #34. The cupcake is from the new cupcake stamp set from SU! The bottom part was paper pieced and the frosting was colored with copics. I added glass glitter and seed beads. The patterned paper strip was sewn on both sides using a fancy wide zig zag stitch. The tag is attached to a jump ring with scrapper's floss. Sentiment is Papertrey Ink's Mixed Messages. Blue paper is Moca Chica. I just love these sketch challenges.

Crate & Barrel Card

I like to look through catalogs just for ideas. When I started looking at papercrafters' blogs last spring I noticed people using ideas from catalogs for cards. So when I saw this ad in Crate & Barrel I loved the color combination and came up with this card using Papertrey Ink's Guidelines stamp set.

Papertrey Ink GSS Honorable Mention Spooky Sweets II Girly Treat

This pillow box was stamped with Palette New Canvas. After it dried I added glue along the web with a quickie glue pen and added prisma glitter. The tag was stamped with PTI Oval Border and Spooky Sweets II image and sentiment. I found the pink and black M&M's in that fancy candy isle at Target. I wanted pink candy corn but apparentaly that is only a Valentine's Day item! This is going to my 7-year old niece Shayann - she is all about pink, as am I:)

Beams and it comes with 2 house images and 2
differnet fence images. So fun.

Kodi is 5 months old now, and is 6 pounds heavier that he
was supposed to be. He is chewing the heck out of everything.
Diane recommended a good place for him to stay while we
are on vacation called Biscuits. I called to schedule his stay
and this is what I found out:
Girl on the phone: "what would be a convenient time for you
to bring him in for an interview?"
Me: "what do you mean?"
Girl: "we have to make sure he can get along with other
dogs - does he get along well with other dogs?"
Me: "well, he's a puppy. So far he seems to get along with
other dogs".
Girl: "can you come in on the 18th of this month?"
Me: "sure".
So on July 18th we'll see if he can get a good mark in 'plays
well with others'. If not Marge might be doggie sitting:)

Ever seen that section in Real Simple magazine where they show
things being used for something other than they were intended
for? Old use: snack plate. New use: Tea Caddy! Many years ago
I had a tea party at my house and I ordered the white
tea bag holder. A few years ago Dar gave me the dragonfly
tea spoons. Last Christmas Elaine gave me the vintage snack
plate with baklava on it. The green toothpick holder fits
perfectly in the little raised circle that would usually hold the
tea cup. I love this. {these tea bags are Peyton's, that's why
they are decaf}.

along with Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #22. Patterned
paper is DCWV, ribbon and cardstock is Papertrey Ink
Lavendar Moon. Sentiment is PTI Mixed Messages
and the cupcake image is K Lockhart. The cupcake
pedestal is part of a cuttlebug cake die.

Work desk

This is where I stamp. Big fat mess. Jodi - see the nestabilities on the right? I copied your idea and I like it so much better this way. I have them hanging on shower curtain hooks.

Bead shoppin' we did go

These beads are from Shipwreck Beads. They have a huge assortment of beads. Everything in the store is also available on their website. Did I really need to buy this many beads to make stick pins for cards? Most definitely not. I couldn't resist though.

Stick Pins

I love these white beads. They remind me of vintage milk glass.

These square beads have flourishes on them and remind me some of the stamp sets and patterned paper that are so popular right now. Double click to see the details in this beautiful little bead.
Isn't this little glass heart bead precious ever more?

Cards with Jewelry

This is a Karen Lockhart stamp and the background is a CHF floral backgrounder. It's hard to see but under the aqua bead is a silver dragonfly.

Vintage Cupcakes - Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #18

I knew when I first saw this image I had to have it. It's from Impression-Obsession. I wanted a vintage feel so I paired it wil this Cosmo Cricket paper. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Mixed Messages. I was able to add itsy bitsy specs of glitter to the sprinkles with a quickie glue pen. The crushed velvet ribbon is MM.
