Week #81 in The Shabby Tea Room

This week in The Shabby Tea Room Char is our host and she has asked us to create a card/project using Chevrons, and to use the colors Blue, Green, Orange,Yellow, Brown and Cream.

Here is the pretty inspiration photo:

Our sponsor this week is JustRite Stampers, and they have provided the following new stamp sets as prizes!

Autumn Labels Twenty Two

Autumn Words

Aren't they wonderful? And just in time for creating beautiful Fall projects.

For my card I used an image from the Shabby Chic Labels Four set. These images are so pretty. They coordinate with the Spellbinders' Labels Four dies which makes the creating process so simple. I couldn't resist adding some yellow translucent glitter to those blooms. The 'Friend' stamp is also from the Shabby Chic Labels set.

I'd love to see what you come up with for this fun challenge.

The Shabby Tea Room Week #80

Today I have the privelege of posting my first card as a designer for The Shabby Tea Room. I am tickled shabby pink to have this opportunity! I love all the shabby chic and vintage inspiration in the Tea Room.
For week #80 in The Shabby Tea Room Debbie has chosen the theme of Vintage White and this gorgeous inspiration photo. I would love to curl up in front of this chippy fireplace with some lit candles and the current Paper Crafts mag.

The challenge this week is to create a card/project using all neutrals - white, cream, kraft, brown, and/or black.

For my card I used the adorable digital image Elle & Andi from this week's sponsor Elephantastic.
I used Papertrey Ink's Damask Designs stamp set and Damask Impression plate with Ranger's Antique Linen distress ink. The patterned paper is Melissa Frances' Fifth Avenue. The glittered frame is from Tattered Angels and the sentiment is from Flourishes' Wedded bliss set.
The winner of this week's challenge will get to pick out 4 digital images from Elephantastic.

I hope you have a chance to participate in this week's challenge in the Tea Room! Please visit the rest of the Shabby Girls' blogs for even more inspiration.

Wishing you Sunshine

Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday technique is to stamp using acrylic paint.
I've always wanted to stamp with paint so I decided to give it a try.

I used FolkArt paint in School Bus Yellow for the flowers. Sometimes when I use Papertrey stamps I get what looks like slightly darker lines on the outline of some images. On the sunflowers it kind of looks like I added a second darker color, but I didn't. I love how it looks.
I added some Melissa Frances Vintage Glass Glitter to the flower centers to jazz them up a little.
I hope you give this a try if you haven't stamped with acrylic paint before. It's fun!
