Shabby Chic Baby

Week #42 at The Shabby Tea Room brings this beautiful inspiration picture of a lucky baby girl's nursery.

If I'd had a girl her room might have looked a lot like this. That pink toile fabric and creamy furniture is so pretty.
Here is the card I made based on this picture:
I thought this vintage photo of a mom and sis looking down at the new arrival tied in nicely. The fabric part of the card is the floral border on the left. I adhered it to Heat & Bond then ran it through the bug with Papertrey Ink's medium scallop border die. You can also cut fabric with your paper trimmer after it has a backing. The lower corner embellishments were made by layering 2 of the tiny pink flowers over a scallop circle cut with Vintage Cream felt.
The other trick I used on this is to air brush the polka dot pp so it isn't pure white. That's the #1 favorite tip I learned at the copic certification class.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful new year:)

Heartwarming Vintage contest

Two lucky people will be winning a $25.00 gift certificate to Crafty Secrets. All you have to do is send in a sample of one of your favorite creations using their products.

Here is the card I sent in. This was published in Paper Crafts Card Styles magazine. The bird, floral paper and sentiment are all Heartwarming Vintage. I *heart* Heartwarming Vintage.

JOYEUX noel

This card is for Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger - All That Glitters. Here is the beautiful inspiration photo:
My good friend Zaneta got married 10-10-10 and these were her wedding colors. So pretty.

For the wreath I cut out the center of a silver doily with a Spellbinders Circle Nestability. Cardstock is
Papertrey Ink's Plum Pudding. That ribbon is not pink even though it looks pink in this photo. It is Lavendar Moon. There are clear rhinestones inbetween the baubles on the wreath but they don't show up very well in the photo. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Holiday Spirit Sentiments...embossed with silver EP.

More Tags

I can't seem to get enough of tags made with Papertrey Ink's Tag Sale #1 Die. It's the perfect size.
The base is Vintage Cream card stock, adorned with new Melissa Frances patterned paper from the 6 x 6 pad and 1930 sheet music. I was very excited to find Jingle Bells in this old song book - the perfect music for my tags. Those pink sprigs peeking from the top are a new Martha border punch that I love.

The pink snowflake is covered with Melissa Frances Pink Mica Flakes. Thanks for stopping by:)

Shabby Tea Room Week #38

I made this tag for the Waltzingmouse Tag challenge and decided to also enter it into the
Shabby Tea Room's current challenge to make a project with no squares or rectangles.

The floral PP is Crafty Secrets. The circle frame and sheet music image are both Waltzingmouse stamps.
Thanks for looking.
