Simply Jane Teacher Thank You Cards

I made 7 of these last night for the group of educators that met with me yesterday to discuss Peyton's progress.

I am just so thankful for these people and the positive impact they have on little lives.

And I can't get enough of the Simply Jane stamp set:) On the inside I used the smaller of the two Thank You images that came in our free gift set from Papertrey Ink.

Spring Birthday Card

This week Papertrey Ink's MIM idea is too fun to pass up. It's all about adding computer-generated print to your die cuts. I use the computer for things like place cardholders but have never tried fitting them into a die cut.

I printed the 'SPRING 2012' on to Aqua Mist paper and then cut the Seed Packet frame out. I then stamped the image around it. That image in the opening is from Made by Janet. It's actually an egg shape that I printed and trimmed to fit behind the opening.
See that sweet doily under the card? That is from my pen pal Jen. Love that.

Best Wishes

This card is for the DIY Embellishments challenge over at The Moxie Fab World. This week the Moxie Fab World and Paper Crafts Connection blog are celebrating the new Practical Solutions for Paper Crafters magazine. I can't wait to get a copy of this. It looks like it's packed with great ideas.

I used dies and stamps from the Simply Jane set from Papertrey Ink. This has to be one of the sweetest stamp sets ever. And since I love silhouettes I had to have it! After stamping the rose with pink ink I was pleased to discover that I could turn the leaves green by coloring over them with a copic marker. The oval background was die cut with Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe paper. I embossed the New Leaf frame with an embossing folder. Tiny pearls were placed to create her necklace.  The sentiment is from PTI's botanical set.

Here's a close up of just the framed silhouette.

Thanks so much for stopping by. I'm off to look at the rest of the challenges offered this week in The Moxie Fab World.

Simple Elegence

It's been a while since I've made a card for Cath's Tuesday Trigger challenge over at
 I love this inspiration photo!

I am inspired by the neutral colors and splashes of pink, the beautiful fireplace and that pretty bunch of pink tulips. Lots of my favorite things in this picture!

That window is a new-to-me Memory Box Die called Madison Small Window. One of these days I will put it away. But for now, I'm having lots of fun with it. I love the embossed detail making this window resemble real mill work. The image behind the window is a Cornish Heritage Farms image. I colored the tulips with a Copic marker. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Botanicals set.The background panel was stamped with the Vintage Wallpaper  background image from Flourishes.

Spring is Near!

Welcome to week #105 in The Shabby Tea Room! This week Char is our host and she has given us this artsy inspiration photo:

Char asks that we use three of the colors from the inspiration photo and incorporate    some dry embossing into our project this week.

I used  the Small Madison Window and Window Box die for this card. The lace trim {for the window valance:)}, pretty pink seam binding and flowers are all embellishments from Creative Treasures. Soo pretty.

We have 2 sponsors this week: Frost it Pink and Creative Treasures. That means that this week we will have not one winner, but two! Each winner will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to one of these wonderful shops. Both stores have lots of beautiful items for creating shabby cards and projects.

Be sure to stop by the rest of the Shabby girls' blogs to see their wonderful Spring-inspired projects:

This is my last week as a designer for The Shabby Tea Room. I have enjoyed this so much. It has been so fun to have so many of you stop by my blog. The Shabby Tea Room is one of my favorite challenge blogs. I will still be here participating in challenges as time allows.

Have a wonderful week:)

Eggstra Special

Welcome to week #104 in The Shabby Tea Room. Debbie is our shabby host this week and she has chosen this yummy photo for our inspiration.

Debbie asks that we  create a card or project using aqua, pink, green and neutrals with a TAG!

Since my project is a tag I had that part of the challenge requirements covered early on! This bottle hanger is made from Aqua Mist CS (PTI) that I embossed with a basket weave pattern. The sentiment is from PTI's Egg Hunt set. That yummy egg, called Easter Egg, is from Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps. I printed it twice, once onto white CS and again on patterned paper. I paper pieced and colored the egg and then added some prisma glitter.

Just to show you what is in the bottle in case you are curious:

This week we are lucky to be sponsored by Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps. This week's winner will receive 5 images from the shop.

Check out what the rest of the shabby girls have waiting for you this week. Lots of pretty pastel projects!
