Make It Monday #184: Gold Dipped Die-cuts

This week Danielle's Make it Monday is all about dipping die cuts into embossing powder for a fun effect.

I used Turning a New Leaf and Phrase Play #3 stamp sets and die, Rustic Cream CS and Lavendar Moon patterned paper. I used gold embossing powder on the leaves and sentiment. I cut the card front with the leaf image and backed it with vellum.

And I finally got around to doing the "cut three dies and adhere them together to get a thicker embellishment" technique.
This  MIM was such a fun and inspiring idea!

Thanks for looking:)

Papertrey Ink Make it Monday - Mason Jars!

This week Melissa Phillips showed us how to stamp and embellish a mason jar in this week's Make it Monday video.

I always plan to participate in these weekly challenges because the different techniques seem so fun, but I usually don't get around to it. This time I went right out to the canning cupboard and selected a jar.

I used the Turning a New Leaf stamp set to add leaves using a sparkly gold embossing powder. I added a 'Melis' bow, added a Tiny Tag embellished with a button, a gold punched leaf, and metallic gold paper behind the little heart.

I chose this jar because of how cute the back is:)

What a super fun challenge this week. Thanks for looking and happy Fall!

PTI Make it Monday #159

This week's theme is No-Sew Quilted Cards. Such a clever idea by Dawn McVey.

I used several different PTI papers and cut them into strips. You will see my inspiration at the end of the post. Sentiment is from Delightful Dahlias Additions. I used the Lace Impression Plate for the embossed design. Here is a close up of that:

And here is the table runner my mom just made and gave to me last weekend.

Isn't it a stunner? I showed her a picture of one I  had seen at Anthropologie. This one is so much prettier.

Thanks for looking and be sure to check out all of the other quilted cards. They are so pretty.

High Gloss Blog Hop with Papertrey Ink

PTI's blog hop this month is all about the shine...

For my project I couldn't resist using Oil Cloth.

I used the new Tag Sale #10 to cut the tag. I cut a second tag from CS and adhered it to the oil cloth with craft glue to make it stiff.

There are lots of fun shiny projects this month:)

Monthly Moments Trading Card Challenge

I love creating things on a smaller scale, so I knew I wanted to create something for Papertrey Ink's fun Trading Card Challenge.

Don't let the tiny chair fool you. This little trading card is 3" x 4". I used Banner Builders, Heart Prints and Congrats All Ways. I added one of Nichole's tape glitter strips along the top.
My Banner Builder's had yet to see ink. What a fun set.

PTI Timer Challenge

Here is a card for the Timer Challenge as part of Papertrey Ink's 7th Anniversary Celebration.

The challenge: pick 7 products in 7 minutes and create a card in 17 minutes or less. I used 5 ink colors, Papertrey Ink's Mini Bloom stamp set and CS. What a fun challenge!

PTI Anniversary Challenge

Here is another card for the Wish List challenge, as I call it. And here are the recipe cards I used for inspiration for this card:

I did a little masking on the sentiment to make the THANKS stand out a bit. Thanks for stopping in and enjoy the "7" celebration.

Papertrey Ink Anniversary time

Here is a card for the first challenge in the PTI 7th Anniversary Celebration. I call this one the 2014 Wish List challenge - because the lucky winner will win his/her wish list!

Here are the two recipe cards I used for inspiration:

I am enjoying this years anniversary challenges and looking forward to all of the new products in 2014.

Pretty in Pink!

Here is the inspiration photo

So pretty. I knew the second I saw it that I would have to participate. Here is my pink project:

I used the Mighty Bloom Cover Plate, a Happy one liner die, and several different sheets of PTI pink patterned paper.

I am looking forward to seeing all of the pink in today's challenge.

Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #149

This week's Make it Monday is all about glitter embellishments.

I decided to make a tag with the Tag Sale #1 die. I used some pink patterned paper for the background. The 'cone' part of the embellishment is covered with yellow glitter, and the 'ice cream' is cut from aqua CS and covered with clear glass glitter. The cone and sentiment are from the Sweet as Can Be stamp set.

When I was a kid my favorite ice cream flavor was Bubble Gum. Back then it didn't actually have gum in it, and it was the exact same shade as Aqua Mist.

So happy to have this completed during the first part of the week:)

PTI Make It Monday

This week's Make it Monday features generation stamping
 with line images.

I used Flower Fusion #6 for the flowers, and Lavendar Moon, Berry Sorbet and Summer Sunrise inks. The sentiment, from Fancy Folk Art, is embossed with black filigree powder.

This was a fun technique to try:)

Make it Monday #147 at Papertrey Ink

This week's Make it Monday challenge is a fun one: making a
multi-layer image with a single stamp.

I combined Mat Stack 4 and Tags for Spring to create this embellishment. For the multi-layer image I stamped the butterfly image on yellow CS, then stamped the butterfly image a second time on white CS. I trimmed them out and layered them to add some dimension.

Thanks for stopping in:)
