Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #146

This week's Make it Monday theme is Angled Backgrounds.

I used my PTI black and white patterned papers and the Enjoy the Ride stamp set. I cut a double layer of vellum with the Mat Stack 3 die and heat embossed the sentiment with black embossing powder.

Thanks for taking a closer look at my card for this weeks' challenge and Happy New Year!

Teacher Thanks

This card is for the current Make it Monday challenge featuring the lift and transfer technique demonstrated by Nichole Heady.

Sorry for the blurry image - I already gave this to the teacher so couldn't photograph it again. I combined WW: Teacher with Boutique Borders: Thanks for this card.

Here is a close up of the shadow stamping.
This is a fun technique to try:)

Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #131

For this week's Make it Monday Betsy Veldman did a video tutorial to show how to make striped sentiments using embossing powder.

I used Pretty Peonies and Wonderful Words: Birthday for this card. I also used Eclipse tape to mask the sentiment while applying the different colors.

This was a fun technique to try:)

Happy Birthday

Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #111 is a fun one that I couldn't resist - water coloring on embossed images.

I stamped the Stitches & Swirls image onto water color paper and embossed in white. I then used water color paints and liquid shimmer paints to create the background and the flowers and leaves. I think the swirly font in the sentiment {Trendy Tree Tops} is cute with the swirly floral image.

Thanks for taking a look. Stop in at Nichole's blog to see more projects for this great challenge.

Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #107

This week's Make it Monday by Nichole Heady is all about clear cards and Copic markers.

For this card I used both Memento ink and Copic markers together to color the flowers and leaves. I used The Sweet Life and Half & Half stamp sets. The yellow panel was stamped with Background Basics: Farm & Barn.
{Clear cards are hard to photograph!}

And here is the inside panel.

Thanks for stopping in today. Thanks to Nichole's tips on assembling clear cards I'm going to get some more clear card stock out and get to work.

Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #105

This week's Make it Monday video/technique is presented by Dawn McVey and her featured technique is glittered borders.

I knew I wanted to play along when I saw that glitter was involved. I love adding glitter to just about everything. I decided to make a glittered border frame using the new Mat Stack 6. The flowers and sentiment are from a new set Fancy Folk Art. I stamped the sentiment a second time on Hawaiian Shores CS and paper pieced the 'wishes to you' part.
And that vintage-looking glitter? Antique White Art Glitter. This is my favorite glitter and you can find it here. It has the most subtle blush hue.

The flowers in this set are so fun to use. Using multiple stamps on a single image creates so much detail. I'm loving these new sets from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for looking. I'm off to look at some of the other glittered entries.

Papertrey Make It Monday project

This past week's make it Monday inspired me to get out that pillow box die and create something fun.

For the paper I downloaded and printed a royalty-free map image. I will be on {a tropical} vacation on Valentines Day so I wanted a little 'travel' theme for the gift. I stamped Background Basics Hearts in Pure Poppy ink over the map paper before assembling. For the tag I used the new Tremendous Tags and The Sweet Life stamp set - such a fun set to use.
I made three of these - one for my mom, and one for my boy and my niece. Each packages holds three Hershey nuggets.
Looking forward to getting out of Washington for a while.

Thanks for visiting my blog today:)

Thinking about You

The Moxie Fab World is featuring lots of fun challenges
in honor of this publication:

Challenge #23 I couldn't resist - Make an Itty Bitty card.

I'm not sure why, but I have always enjoyed creating on a smaller scale. This card is 2 7/8 x 2 7/8. I have quite the stash of itty bitty envelopes!
For this card I used Papertrey Ink's Aqua Mist card stock, Rosie Posie stamps and dies, Bitty Background Basics stamps, and Woodgrain Impression plate. The sentiment is WMS.
Thanks for stopping by. Check out Moxie Fab World for all the details on these fun challenges. I'm going to try to squeeze in at least one more.
