Wishing you the happiest of birthdays



This card is for the

I was inspired to try a technique that I've been thinking about for months - using an impression plate and ink to  create a 
letterpress look.


I love how the pattern turned out. With embossing folders the look is more defined and uniform. But with the impression plate the look is more distressed and slightly shabby. That ink is one of the new Fresh Ink colors - Silver Lilac. 
The lacy border is a Memory Box die. The Damask Impression Plate is Papertrey Ink. The sentiment is from PTI's Celebrations stamp set.

What a delight! I love the impressed and inked paper. It almost looks like it is porcelain like the cameo in parts. You're so tremendously clever...not to mention an inspiration. So beautiful.
