Raspberry Ice Cream

Interupting this paper crafting blog to share a favorite recipe.
Ingredients:
4 cups fresh raspberries
3 cups whipping cream
1 1/2 cups half-and-half
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla extract
Puree the berries in a blender, then pour through a strainer to get rid of the seeds. I use a ladle to smash the berries through.
Add the sugar to the berries and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add the rest of the ingredients.Attach the frozen ice cream bowl to your mixer and pour the batter in. Mix for 20 minutes on setting #1.
Done! Pour into an airtight container and freeze until ice cream is hard.
This can be made in any type of ice cream maker but the KitchenAid ice cream attachment makes it so easy. Enjoy!

This sounds so delicious. We've had an ice cream maker for 3 years and have yet to use it...think it's about time!
