Noel

It's time for  Papertrey Ink's September Blog Hop.

This month it is all about fabric and packaging.

I love all of these samples.
I was inspired to get out some Christmas Fabric for my project.

Do you ever buy something because you just love it but have no clue what you will do with it? That was me when I saw this Christmas Toile fabric. I decided to make a gift bag by adhering this fabric to Heat & Bond then die cutting with the Front & Center #2 die. I made a box using Rustic Cream CS and my MS Scoreboard. The box is sandwiched between the die cuts. I also backed the die cuts with CS.

I made a coordinating tag using Vintage Ornaments and Holiday Tags 2008.
Thanks so much for looking at my project today. What a fun challenge this is.

I love it - you certainly found a fabulous use for that fabric.
I bought a yard just like it to wrap a friend's Christmas gift in a couple years ago cuz it was on sale at Joanns and I knew she would love it. She's the same friend getting the project I made for this hop! How funny.

Fabulous idea for using the Heat & Bond, wish I had thought of that. Can't tell you how many fabrics I tried to die cut and they just wouldn't. I'm now going yo try your method, thanks so much for sharing and I love your Christmas fabric. I have a bulletin board in my kitchen in blue using a similar pattern just not Christmas(chair cushions & table runner too)!
Beautiful project you created.

I loved the fabric card. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year and I'm glad to display my collection of Santa's.
I think I saw your name above mine on one of the contests a week or so ago. We share the same last name. My daughter took GPa and GMa to North Carolina (if I remember right) for a reunion of Holshouser's about 1974. Doubt you were there. Was just a shock to see the name on a blog.
