Shabby Chic Baby

Week #42 at The Shabby Tea Room brings this beautiful inspiration picture of a lucky baby girl's nursery.


If I'd had a girl her room might have looked a lot like this. That pink toile fabric and creamy furniture is so pretty.
Here is the card I made based on this picture:
I thought this vintage photo of a mom and sis looking down at the new arrival tied in nicely. The fabric part of the card is the floral border on the left. I adhered it to Heat & Bond then ran it through the bug with Papertrey Ink's medium scallop border die. You can also cut fabric with your paper trimmer after it has a backing. The lower corner embellishments were made by layering 2 of the tiny pink flowers over a scallop circle cut with Vintage Cream felt.
The other trick I used on this is to air brush the polka dot pp so it isn't pure white. That's the #1 favorite tip I learned at the copic certification class.
