I'd like to ride my bicycle

Moxie Fab World's current challenge is all about bicycles. How I love my bicycle.

The bicycle image I used is from Great Impressions. {They are in Washington State and I like to support local businesses, expecially ones that make darling stamps!}. I colored the flowers with copic markers and airbrushed the background. The medal part of the bike is painted with pink Shimmerz paint. I wish you could see it IRL because it really looks like metallic bike paint. The tiny butterfly was punched from Papertrey Ink's pink shimmer CS which looks a lot like the paint. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Egg Hunt set.

Miss You

This is the inspiration photo for The Shabby Tea Room's Week #15 'Cottage Comfort' challenge:

We could use the colors or stripes and it turns out I used both. I made the scallop border from wood paper that I hadn't had a chance to use until now. I wanted to mimick the wood on the bed. The flower are cut with Papertrey Ink's Bloom II dies and their Pretty Pasterl patterned paper. Check out the
Shabby Tea Room for more great projects based on this pretty inspiraiton photo.

Belated Birthday Wishes

I am happy that I was able to participate in the Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #3.

For the card base I used the Papertrey Ink In Bloom embossing plate to give the yellow CS a soft floral impression. Also used some vintage bookprint and seam binding that I dyed. Stamp sets are WMS Vintage Labels 4 and Fancy Phrases. I love the fonts in this set.

Teacher Card

Every night of the school year Peyton wrote out his "good morning" list before he went to bed. At school every morning his teacher wrote one on the white board in the classroom. It's hard to tell but I put Diamond Glaze on the apple so it really shines. Really didn't need a sentiment since the Webster's Pages paper has that neat little saying on it. You can double click for a closeup.

thanks so much Teacher

I got my July/August 2010 issue of Papercrafts Magazine yesterday with the above card published in it. Sentiments are from Papertrey Ink's Mixed MEssages and Teacher's Apple.

you DID IT!

This card is for my second cousin Megan. She graduates this weekend from  hight school. She's a 'pink' girl so I couldn't resist making her a pink bug.

Love

When I first saw the post for the Fun with Fabric challenge I knew I wanted to use this fun text fabric. I used Papertrey Ink's Bloom dies to cut three flowers from the fabric. I inked up the edges with some distress ink. The pink scalloped panel is stamped with a Hero Arts woodgrain stamp. PP is October Afternoon. You can double click the photo for a closer view. There are lots of fun fabric projects on the Moxie Fab World blog.
