Create a paper crafted project (card, gift bag, tag, layout, home decor item, mini-book cover, etc.) that incorporates texture in an innovative way.
I've been wanting to make some pink burlap leaves and this challenge was the perfect reason to get it done. I mixed some pink acrylic paint with water in a 16 oz plastic cup, rolled up the cream burlap and soaked it for an hour or so. Then I laid it out to dry overnight. I adhered it to some Sweet Blush CS {Papertrey Ink} then cut the leaves with PTI's Falling Leaves dies. I then stamped the veins with brown ink. The card base was embossed with PTI's Damask impression plate. I added sweet blush ink to the raised areas. The woodgrain piece was stamped with Hero Arts' woodgrain stamp and all edges were inked with distress ink.The sentiment and tag are PTI's Tiny Tags - I love this set and use it a lot! I added a little of the pink burlap behind the tiny heart opening.
It was so refreshing to get some 'pink' out after making so many fall-colored cards. Thanks so much for your visit today.
