Always

Moxie Fab World is having a series of Color Inspiration Challenges and this card is for the Metallics color combination.
Trying to show the pretty shimmer with this close up - Papertrey Ink's White Shimmer Paper is so pretty.
And so is the pink shimmer paper!

This image is from Crafty Secret's Cherish set, embossed with gold filigree EP. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Heart Prints set. I'm just under the gun but it's such a pretty color combination I was determined to get a card done!

Craft Kits for 2 special girls

ETA: These gifts were from 2 kids, my son and my neice, so that's why there is so much stuff in each kit.
My good friend's daughters' combined birthday party is tomorrow. Morgan is 7 and Madison is10. When I asked what they would like she said "they really like to color and want craft stuff", I decided to make them each a craft kit.
I found the totes at JoAnn's on clearance for $4.50. I got them each 1 wood stamp and a little set of clear stamps and blocks, some punches, stickers, coloroed pencils and markers.
I made letters with the Cricut to personalize the totes.
I die cut each girl 10 panels and stamped them with images they can color. Each one will also get a set of 8 cards with envelopes and a glue stick. They can glue the panels to the card fronts and have a card to send off. I also put in some 6x6 pp for using the punches. Each girl has a small baggie with custom return address labels with just first names and an image that reminds me of them.
This is why I was so glad to have found that post on PTI about the marker sale last Tuesday, and why I waited 30 minutes for the staff at Staples to figure out the coupon code.
Looking forward to the party tomorrow.

Love Tags

This month for the blog hop we are using stamps that haven't seen ink. This is such a great idea. For my project I broke out Background Basics: Hearts.

I made a set of tags that I'll attach to Valentine gifts in a couple weeks. I used BB Hearts to stamp the background of the tag and also the background part of the embellishment. Pink Blush card stock was cut with a Labels Fourteen die and stamped in red using 3 different backgrounds from the set. {The word love is from Love Songs, and the flourish on the oval and the top of the tag are Mat Stack 2 Collection}.

This is a little pocket I made for the tags to tuck in to. It's not my original idea. They sell the tiny craft pockets at Impress, and they had cut the top with a MS punch. I just couldn't bring myself to spend 30 cents for one of these little pockets when I knew I could make them. And I know you all 'get' that!

Thanks so much for looking. I'll be hopping tonight after work. I peeked at a few of the thumbnails and I'm loving what I see!

The Sky's The Limit

Cath at Moxie Fab World is featuring some very fun color challenges. My card is for the Bright and Bold challenge and these are the 4 colors:

I do love this combination. It reminds me of Spring.

The kite images are from Papertrey Ink's Up, Up and Away stamp set, and the cloud die is also PTI. The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life Kites2Fly set. I embossed  the cloud die with a Quickutz diamond pattern embossing plate. There is Prisma glitter on the bows and kites but it doesn't show up very well.
Check out the Moxie Fab World blog for more cards made with this fun color combination.

Wishing You a Day of Joy

I really like the sketch {#98} at Card Patterns so decided to make a card. Here is the sketch:

                                                                And here is my card:

The paper is Melissa Frances Kitschy Kitchen - a favorite of mine. I layered several circles onto a MS doily that I airbrushed. The sentiment is from Flourishes Kids Play set. Couldn't resist adding a little Prisma Glitter to the fruit.
I'm also linking this card to Scrapbook Trends current challenge to use butterflies.
